Taxi squad and y2y CONTRACTS:
Any player who was drafted in our FYPD is a Practice Squad player (Minors).
Once a player is promoted to a 40-man roster by an owner, he is given a salary of $500,000 based on our y2y (year to year) contract structure. This will be his y2y.1 contract year.
Practice Squad call up contract structure :
Year 1 - $500,000
Year 2 - $1,000,000
Year 3 - $2,300,000
Year 4 - $3,700,000
Year 5 - $5,000,000
Practice Squad call up guidelines:
Optional call ups
-owner can call up any players to active roster at anytime. Once player has been on the active roster for 4 weeks they must be called up at the year, also starting his y2y contract.
forced call ups
- Due to the NFL not having a direct rookie threshold like NBA, NHL, and the MLB there have been tons of ideas foR our rookie thresholds.
With that being said we have decided on the thresholds.
we are going to base the thresholds off of snap counts. The list below is the snap count for every position! This forced call up will be force during the off-season
QB- 267
RB- 169
WR- 239
TE- 164
DT- 197
DE- 197
LB- 273
S- 283
CB- 283
K- 8 kicking attempts
